Privacy Policy
How RSH Bury Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information, including information about learners under 18.
Who we are
RSH Bury Ltd is an independent education and learning planning service registered in England and Wales under company number 16427302. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our contact address for privacy questions is info@rsh-bury.services.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to provide planning and research: your name and contact details; information about the decision you are making; details of a learner’s current stage, subjects and qualifications where these are relevant to the plan; and the correspondence we exchange with you.
We do not collect special category data as a matter of course, and we ask that you do not send us health, medical or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for the work, in which case we will discuss it with you first.
Information about learners under 18
Where a learner is under 18, the information we work from is provided by a parent or guardian and used with their consent. We do not ask a child to provide personal details directly, we do not create profiles of children, and we do not contact a learner independently. Where the young person joins a conversation, that is at the parent or guardian’s discretion and in their presence or with their knowledge.
Why we use it
We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a brief and a plan, research the options you ask about, keep records of the work carried out, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not use it for automated decision-making, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not pass it to third parties for marketing. We share it only where you have agreed that we should, or where we are required to by law. We do not share a learner’s information with any course provider or institution without the parent or guardian’s agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to work is kept for up to twelve months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years, which reflects our accounting obligations, and are then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive information you provided in a portable format. Write to info@rsh-bury.services and we will respond within one month.
Security
Information is held on access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. We keep the amount of personal information we hold to the minimum needed for the work.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies, described in our Cookie Policy, which also explains how to manage them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page.
